Do Spells Work?

On one level you are a machine made by the gods. This machine is composed of over eighty-trillion cells. It has many component parts and each part is an electrical mechanism. Your brain, the control centre, is composed of over ten billion cells, each one connected to the other. These cells receive, record and transmit information and we are only just finding out how and why. The brain is not the mind, the mind is that part of us which understands or that which knows. It is the conscious and the subconscious. It somehow, at the very least, controls the brain. What, or where exactly it is, is anyone’s guess. (A guess is a level of intuition which is very akin to magic.)
There have been many scientific experiments on the mind and how it affects the person. Within the last hundred years, many experiments have been carried out on the mind and one thing conclusively proved is that the more confident and positive one is, the better that person’s life becomes or the more opportunities open up for that person. For some reason, confidence is directly linked to positive things that happen to the person. All self help books and courses teach this and so do secondary schools and universities.

You gain confidence by ‘knowing’ and by ‘willing’ (and to some extent by ‘daring’ and ‘keeping silent’). As mentioned above, you ‘know’ from either your wisdom or by persuading yourself that you know, i.e. by autosuggestion or self hypnosis.
