Kabbalah

Is it possible that the whole of life, the universe and everybody’s experience, which has been lived and is to be lived, can be known or worked out? Is there such a thing as a signpost that points you in the general direction of God or the Lord and Lady, something that lets you know that you are on the right track? Is there some sort of text book, map or set of plans that anyone can use to assist them to understand life, and in particular, their life? Well the Kabbalah is supposedly such an aid.

The Kabbalah is a system that is claimed to have been given to Adam by God. It was only in the province of a few chosen Jews, who may have received it from the Egyptian Pharaohs, until the Greeks took it and made it more widely known. Like the tarot, it makes some very basic statements about man and the universe and man’s part in it. The Kabbalah puts forward the premise that there is perfect order in the universe which is possible for a human to conceive. Also that there can be no such thing as accident and that there is an interrelated reason for every leaf that moves on every tree and for every stone on every beach. We are all part of the whole.
